Introducing Reed Muse 3C’s younger brother—the Muse 2C. Accommodating a single tonearm and using friction drive (can also be ordered as a belt drive only version), it also has some new features.

In Muse 2C, Reed introduced a possibility to manually adjust turntable speed (along with preset 33 and 45 RPM options). While Muse 2C uses quartz-based phase locked loop (PLL) speed control system (also used in Muse 3C) to maintain perfect speed accuracy, there might be times when minor speed adjustments are necessary, and Reed Muse 2C can accomodate that requirement.

Like Muse 3C, Muse 2C is powered by two direct current motors. In preventing possible mechanical vibration, Reed uses traction rollers of different diameters, spinning at different velocities and having mathematically non-multiple diameters to driving disc diameter. Turntable drive is equipped with both mechanical and electronic protection systems.

Muse 2C uses a reverse sliding thrust ball bearing for its main axis. The ball bearing is either steel or ceramic and the lateral stability is achieved by using a very durable and low-noise polymer sliding bearing. The Symmetrical drive system is designed to avoid radial bearing loading, hence minimizing possible mechanical noise and ensuring longevity of the master bearing. And last but not least—having a symmetrical design, the Muse 2C can be placed by either side in front for your convenience.
